Dacia continued its impressive growth in 2024, selling 676,340 vehicles—a 2.7% increase from 2023. This milestone year also marked a historic achievement, with Dacia surpassing 9 million vehicles sold since 2004.

Market Leadership and Growth

Dacia outperformed the market with a 1.6% sales increase in 2024. Key highlights include:

  • Record PC+LCV market share of 3.9%, up 0.1 points, securing a place in Europe’s Top 10 brands.
  • Record PC market share of 4.5%, climbing to 9th place in the rankings.
  • Strong retail performance, maintaining an 8.2% share of European PC retail sales.

Significant market share gains were seen across Europe, including Austria (4.2%), Belgium-Luxembourg (5.2%), Germany (2.5%), Italy (6.2%), and Portugal (7.7%). Many regions also experienced double-digit growth in sales volumes, such as Belgium-Luxembourg (+15.4%) and Spain (+12.4%).

Driving Success with Iconic Models

Dacia’s robust product lineup played a pivotal role in 2024:

  • Sandero: With 309,392 units sold (+14.5%), it remains Europe’s best-selling vehicle across all channels and retail markets.
  • Duster: The continent's top-selling SUV for retail customers since 2018, achieving 215,024 sales (+7.3%). Hybrid versions, introduced in May 2024, accounted for 29% of sales.
  • Jogger: Retained its strong position with 96,440 units sold (+2.4%), with hybrids making up 29% of sales.
  • Spring: Despite a 63% sales drop due to reduced government grants, the refreshed version introduced in September saw a surge in orders.

Dacia’s appeal extends to its ability to attract new customers, with 62.3% of buyers new to the Renault Group and 81.1% returning to purchase another Renault Group vehicle.

Enhanced Customer Loyalty

The introduction of the Dacia Zen contract reinforces customer loyalty. Included in the Essential and Essential+ service packages, it offers a 12-month/30,000 km renewable warranty, available in major European markets and expanding soon.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Dacia is set for an ambitious year with several key initiatives:

  • Launch of the Bigster: Offering exceptional value in the C-SUV segment, always at a Dacia price (from £24,995 in the UK with the full range under £30,000). Bigster pre-orders are now open and will be available through the retail network from spring 2025.
  • Electrification focus: Expanding hybrid offerings while maintaining affordability.
  • Motorsport involvement: Continuing participation in the Dakar Rally and World Rally-Raid Championship to showcase Dacia’s rugged and outdoor capabilities.

Dacia’s unwavering commitment to delivering quality, affordability, and innovation ensures it remains a leader in the European automotive market.
