If your car is declared a total loss, making a GAP Insurance claim is simple. You don’t even need to call - just submit your claim through the AutoProtect App, 365 days a year.

You’ll be asked to complete a short questions document and provide any necessary information. AutoProtect will review everything and contact you if they need further details. Within 7–10 working days, you’ll receive a settlement figure to help cover the shortfall and get you back on the road.

GAP Insurance is available for vehicles up to 8 years old or with fewer than 80,000 miles at the start of the policy. It covers the difference between your motor insurer’s payout and the original purchase price of your vehicle if it is stolen or written off.
