The iconic Renault 4 has made its return with the all-new Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric, which was unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. Just like the original, which addressed the needs of its time, this version reflects Renault’s dedication to sustainability and the shift towards electric mobility.
The design pays homage to the original Renault 4 with subtle touches, like the unique illuminated front grille and the modern take on the three-part rear lights. It also features a spacious, versatile interior with a flat-folding front passenger seat, offering a load length of 2.2 metres and a generous 420-litre boot, complete with clever storage solutions.
Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric comes with two battery options: a 52 kWh battery delivering 150 hp and a range of up to 250 miles*, or a 40 kWh battery with 120 hp and up to 186 miles* of range. Both versions are equipped with efficient charging options, including the ability to charge from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes* with the 52 kWh battery.
Inside, it’s all about modern convenience, with dual horizontal screens, including a 10-inch multimedia display powered by Google services like Google Maps and Google Play. The electric canvas roof adds an outdoor feel, opening up the cabin to the sky with just a touch of a button.
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric is also equipped with advanced driving aids, including adaptive cruise control with lane centring, blind spot monitoring, and hands-free parking, making it ideal for city driving. It also offers bidirectional charging, allowing you to power devices or even feed electricity back into the grid.
Built on the AmpR Small platform, shared with the Renault 5, this model maintains the practical, go-anywhere spirit of its predecessor, with increased ground clearance and optimised suspension for a smooth ride.
Production is centred in northern France, reflecting Renault’s commitment to sustainability, with over a quarter of the materials coming from recycled sources. The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric is set to arrive in the UK in mid-2025, with pricing and specifications to be announced earlier that year.
