MG Motor has broadened its ZS small SUV lineup with the introduction of petrol-powered models, complementing the hybrid variant launched in late 2024.
The petrol-powered ZS range will be available in three trim levels: Excite, Essence, and Essence Turbo. Customers can choose between two 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine options:
- Naturally aspirated: Producing 81kW of power and 140Nm of torque, with fuel consumption rated at 6.7L/100km (combined cycle).
- Turbocharged: Delivering 125kW and 275Nm, with slightly higher fuel consumption of 6.9L/100km.
Transmission details are yet to be finalised, but it is anticipated that the naturally aspirated engine will be paired with a CVT automatic, while the turbocharged version will feature a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
