MG is celebrating a century of innovation and driving excitement at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with an incredible showcase of its rich heritage and exciting future. The festivities kicked off with the Duke of Richmond driving his grandfather’s legendary MG C-Type past Goodwood House and up the iconic hill climb, leading a parade of MG classics and cutting-edge models.

A Journey Through MG’s Glorious Past

The Duke of Richmond took the wheel of his grandfather's iconic MG C-Type, a car that raced in the 1931 Brooklands Double 12. This historic vehicle was joined by other MG legends, including the MGA Le Mans, MGC GTS Sebring, and MG 6R4, creating a breathtaking display of MG's illustrious racing history.

Debuting the Future: MG Cyber GTS Concept

Making its dramatic global debut, the MG Cyber GTS Concept wowed the crowds. Unveiled by Jozef Kaban, Vice President of MG’s Global Design Centre, this concept car pays tribute to the MGC GTS Sebring, a standout in MG's racing legacy. The Cyber GTS Concept merges MG's storied past with its future, showcasing advanced EV technology in a stunning, rear-wheel-drive package.

Introducing the EXE181

Another highlight was the reveal of the EXE181, an electrifying reimagining of the record-breaking MG EX181 from the 1950s. Designed by Carl Gotham and his London-based team, the EXE181 honours the original’s groundbreaking achievements at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This concept car embodies MG's spirit of innovation and performance.

Celebrating with Style

In front of Goodwood House, the Festival of Speed Central Feature showcased MG’s journey from the beloved MGB to the futuristic Cyberster. The display was capped off with sensational fireworks show, celebrating MG’s 100-year milestone in spectacular fashion.

The All-New MG HS SUV

Also making its debut at Goodwood was the new MG HS SUV. Available in both petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, the HS brings a host of new features, increased cabin space, and enhanced styling. This SUV underscores MG's commitment to delivering exceptional value and advanced technology to its customers.

As MG celebrates its centennial, the brand continues to honour its rich heritage while driving towards a future filled with innovation and sustainable mobility. From historic racing cars to cutting-edge electric vehicles, MG's legacy of excellence and excitement is set to continue for the next 100 years and beyond.
