MG has unveiled the refreshed HS SUV at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating its 100th anniversary. Available in petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, the new HS features sharp styling, increased cabin space, and advanced infotainment.
The PHEV model offers an electric-only range of up to 75 miles and a 5% Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) rate for company car drivers.
The new generation of HS models maintain MG’s reputation for offering customers the best possible overall value in the SUV marketplace. Prices start at £24,995 for the petrol variant and £33,995 for the PHEV, both coming with MG's 7-year/80,000-mile warranty.
David Allison, Head of Product and Planning at MG Motor UK, has highlighted the enhanced equipment and functionality of the new models, emphasizing their superior value and distinctive MG styling.
The HS PHEV combines a 105kW petrol engine with a 154kW electric motor, achieving 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds. The petrol model features a 1.5T engine, reaching 0-62mph in 9.4 seconds, with both manual and automatic transmission options available.
The new HS boasts refined proportions, a longer wheelbase, and a sleek design. Inside, it offers two 12.3-inch displays, enhanced connectivity, and increased boot capacity. The range-topping Trophy model includes premium features like 19-inch alloy wheels, a 360° camera, and wireless smartphone charging.
Safety is a priority with the MG Pilot package, featuring Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and more. The new HS is available to order now, with deliveries starting soon.
