Added: 22 September 2017

Nissan has been making vehicles since 1933 and since then they have come a long way! They have now reached a milestone of producing 150 million vehicles made globally.

Back in 2006, Nissan reached the milestone of producing 100 million vehicles and 76.5% were produced in Japan. Since then the production has become more localised and in just 11 years they have reached the 150 million milestone. Now 76.5% of the 50 million vehicles were produced outside of Japan.

In Europe, Nissan has been manufacturing in Spain and the UK for more than 30 years. Nissan also established their St. Petersburg Plant in Russia more than 10 years ago.

In Barcelona Spain the Nissan Navara, Nissan Pulsar, Nissan nv200 and Nissan e-nv200 are produced and in Avila Spain is where the Nissan NT400 is produced. St. Peterburg Russia produce the Nissan Qashqai and Nissan X-Trail.

In the UK Sunderland Plant where the Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Juke and Nissan LEAF are produced, Nissan has produced over 9 million vehicles and the New Nissan LEAF has helped reach the 150 million mark which is now undergoing a trial production in the Sunderland Plant.
